In-house financing

Work out the payment first

We finance these cars ourselves. No bank in the middle, no application before you get a number, and nothing on this page touches your credit.

Nothing here is an application and nothing touches your credit. It is the same arithmetic we do on the phone.

—Minimum down payment. On a cheaper car that is a bigger share, which is why the slider will not go below it.
—One rate. It does not change because the car is older or because you live further away.
—You pick the term. Shorter costs less overall, longer costs less each month.

Why we lend ourselves

A bank does not understand a fifty-year-old car

A lender who has never seen one of these prices it off a book value that stopped being accurate years ago, then lends against the wrong number and asks you to make up the difference.

We bought the car. We know what it is worth, what it needs and what it will do next year. That is why the answer comes the same day.

And if your own bank or credit union gives you a better rate, take it. We will send them everything they need. We would rather you buy the car than owe us money.

The decision is ours

We look at the deal, not at a scoring model that has never seen a 1969 Camaro. That means an answer the same day, from the person you have been talking to, not from an underwriter three states away.

No valuation fight

Banks price classics off book values that stopped being accurate years ago, then lend against the wrong number. We are the ones who bought the car, so we already know what it is worth.

Questions

What people ask about paying for it

Will this affect my credit score?

Nothing on this page does. When we move to an actual agreement we tell you exactly what we check and when, before we check it.

What if I want to pay it off early?

Pay it off whenever you like. There is no penalty for early settlement — we are car dealers, not a lender trying to protect an interest stream.

Can I pay cash instead?

Of course, and most buyers do. Wire or cashier's cheque. One warning: if anyone ever emails you changed wire instructions, it is not us. Call the number on this site and confirm before sending money anywhere.

Do you finance for buyers out of state?

Yes. Most of our buyers are out of state, and the paperwork is built for it. Title and registration are handled for your state, not ours.

Is retirement or pension income fine?

Yes. Pension, social security and annuity income all count. Plenty of our buyers are retired, and the decision is ours to make.
