Enclosed delivery

We bring the car to your driveway

Behind closed doors, insured the whole way, to addresses nationwide. Most of our buyers never stand next to the car before it arrives. You get the number before you commit, not after.

What it costs you

Type your ZIP, get the figure

Not a range and not a “starting from”. The same number we put on the paperwork, worked out from your postcode.

Included milesThe included distance is taken off before mileage charges begin.
Mileage rateAfter the included miles. One rate, no fuel surcharge, no seasonal markup.
Enclosed onlyYour car travels behind closed doors, insured by the carrier for its full value.

Step by step

How a car gets from our lot to yours

You tell us whereA ZIP code is enough. We quote the exact figure the same day, by phone, text or email, whichever you prefer.
We book the carrierEnclosed trailer, licensed and insured. You get the company name and their DOT number before pickup.
Paperwork before the wheels moveTitle, bill of sale and the transport order. Nothing ships until the paperwork is straight.
Loading, photographedWe shoot the car as it goes up the ramp and as the doors close, and send you the photos.
On the roadYou get the driver's number and can call him directly. We check in with him ourselves along the way.
Delivery at your addressThe driver calls ahead. You inspect the car, sign the bill of lading, and it is yours.

The difference

Why we do not put classics on an open trailer

What we use
Classic car strapped inside an enclosed trailer
Enclosed trailer
  • No road debris, no salt, no hail, no rain on fresh paint
  • Nobody sees what is inside. The truck is not an advertisement
  • Soft straps over the wheels, not chains over the suspension
  • Higher insurance limits, because the cargo is worth more
What most quotes mean
Car riding on an open trailer
Open trailer
  • Cheaper by a few hundred dollars, and that is the whole argument
  • Your car rides in weather, gravel and whatever the truck ahead drops
  • Fine for a daily driver, wrong for paint you cannot re-order

Before it leaves

You see the car load before the doors close

Up the ramps under its own power, strapped over the wheels, doors shut. Photographs of all of it reach you while the truck is still on our lot — that is what you compare against on delivery day.

Timing

How long it takes

Our state and neighbouring states2–4 days
West Coast, Rockies, Southwest3–6 days
Midwest and Texas5–8 days
East Coast and the South7–11 days
Hawaii, Alaska, territoriesocean freight

Counted from the day the carrier picks the car up, not from the day you call. Winter over the passes can add a day or two, and we say so in advance rather than after.

Cars that left this way

Every car is photographed as it goes up the ramp and again when the doors close. You get those photos before the truck pulls out, not after.

Delivery day

Five minutes that protect you

Photograph the car before you sign anything. All four corners, the roof, the wheels. It takes a minute and it is the only proof that matters later.

Walk it with the driver. Compare what you see with the photos we sent when the car was loaded. Look at the same panels.

Write it on the bill of lading, then sign. A chip, a scuff, a mark that was not there: it goes on the sheet before your signature. After you sign a clean sheet, the claim is gone.

Call us, not the carrier. If something is wrong, we deal with the transport company ourselves. That is our job, not yours.

Questions

What buyers ask us about shipping

Do I pay for shipping up front?

No. Delivery is settled with the car, and the figure is fixed before the carrier is booked. You will not get a different number on delivery day.

Can I collect the car myself?

Yes, and plenty do. The trip is worth it. Tell us when you are coming and the car will be ready, washed and warmed up.

Is the car insured while it travels?

Yes, by the carrier, for the full value of the car. We send you their insurance certificate and DOT number before pickup, without being asked.

What if I live somewhere a big truck cannot reach?

Narrow street, low bridge, gated community. It happens often. The driver meets you a few minutes away in a spot the trailer can use. Nothing extra to pay.

Can it go to Hawaii or Alaska?

Yes, but by ocean freight rather than road, so the timing and the price work differently. Call us and we price it properly instead of guessing.

Can I have the car shipped to my mechanic first?

Yes. Give us the shop address and we deliver there. Plenty of buyers want their own inspection before the car goes home.
